This 20-Minute Chicken Pho is a quick and tasty take on traditional Vietnamese pho. It's great for a comforting meal on a busy day.
Ingredients:
- 8 cups chicken broth
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced
- 1 package 8 oz rice noodles
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 3 star anise
- 4 cloves
- 1 cup bean sprouts
- Fresh cilantro, chopped
- Lime wedges
Instructions:
In a large pot, bring the chicken broth to a boil
Add sliced chicken, rice noodles, onion, garlic, and ginger to the pot
Stir in soy sauce, fish sauce, hoisin sauce, sugar, cinnamon stick, star anise, and cloves
Reduce heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes until chicken is cooked through and flavors meld
Remove cinnamon stick, star anise, and cloves from the broth
Serve the pho in bowls, topping with bean sprouts and fresh cilantro
Garnish with lime wedges and serve hot
